Dive Center Siargao Island...
Siargao Island is located 800 km southeast of
Manila in the province of Surigao del Norte. Siargao Island was an isolated island until
it was discovered by backpackers and surfers in the late 80's. Since this time, Siargao
Island is mostly famous for it's great surfing ("Cloud 9"), but Siargao is also
qickly gaining reputation as one of the best vacation places for anyone looking for
powdery white beaches.
The most of the resorts in the
island are situated near the town of General Luna in the southern side of Siargao Island.
The town is home of the world-famous "Cloud 9", a popular surfing sport that
faces the Pacific Ocean.
Beside Kayaking and Sailing, Scuba Diving is also among the featured activities in
Siargao. If diving is the main reason for your vacation to the Philippines, I would not
recommend to go to Siargao Island, but if you like to go diving additional to some other
activities - or even no activities - Siargao is also a very good place, for just relaxing
and do nothing but swimming and enjoy the white sandy beaches - it is nice, to do some
dives there. On my dives there, I did'nt see a lot of corals and fish (they are still
fishing with dynamite), but the Underwater landscape is very nice. If you are an advanced,
experienced diver especially the "Blue Cathedral" is a dive spot you have to

How to get to Siargao Island?
Travelling by Air: Flights by Cebu Pacific Air going from Cebu
City to Siargao and from Manila to Siargao every week on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday.
There are also flights by Cebu Pacific Air and Air Philippines every day from Cebu
City to Surigao City. From Surigao City to can take a ferry to Dapa on Siargao
Island.
Travelling by Land / Sea: There
is one Car-Ferry by Montenegro Lines going daily from Dapa to Surigao City and back to
Dapa, which is the only port on the Island Siargao.
