Suba diving Apo Island / Visayas...
Apo Island is a very small island (12ha) in the
visayas, located in the south west of Siquijor Island and the east of Negros. Apo Island,
what is known as one of the best dive and snorkeling spots in the world and is like
Siquijor Island a on (I think almost all) dive safaris (island hopping) in the Visayas.
Apo Island can easily be reached by almost all
Dive Centers near and in the south of Dumaguete (Negros) and from Siquijor Island. I know only one
resort direct on the island, the Apo Island Beach Resort (www.apoislandresort.com), where
I stayed for 2 nights during a dive safari. If you stay there you should know, that
eletricity is only available for a short time every day - so charge your batteries before
you arrive there (and don't forget your adapter). You will need fully charged batteries to
take a lot of (underwater) pictures and for the torches on your night dive (don't miss
it!).
