Luzon is
the largest island of the Philippines and also the name of a town on the island. Manila,
the capital city of the Philippines is located on this major island.
The island of Luzon contains 8 regions:
Ilocos Region
(Region I)
Provinces of the Ilocos Region: Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan
Cagayan Valley (Region II)
Provinces of Cagayan Valley: Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Qui
Central Luzon (Region III)
Provinces of Central Luzon: Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, and
Zambales
Calabarzon
(Region IV-A)

National Capital Region (NCR)
The National Capital Region is known as "Metro Manila" and has no provinces.
